Ep 10 – What’s Your worst?

In Episode 10 we spend a lot of time chatting about some of our favourites games. I’m looking at you Raiders of the North Sea. I introduce Steve to geekgroup.app a web app that links to your BGG (Board Game Geek) account and visualizes your collection data in so many fun ways. This leads us to discover what is considered the worst games in our collections based on the BGG ranking system. Of course, being the lowest-ranked may not actually make them the worst.

MatchBox

Thundergryph Games is getting close to launching their new Matchbox Collection of games. 5 small box games in this first wave hitting Kickstarter on March 3rd . Each of the 5 games in the series is promising small boxes, great art, short playtimes, and hopefully big fun. 3 of the five games have intro videos and rules available on the website now. Each with a solo play ruleset with two of the games, 15 Days and Rebis, offering a player count of 1-4.

Squire for Hire

Jon Merchant’s Squire for Hire, published by Letiman Games,  caught my eye on Kickstarter for a couple of reasons. The first, as always, is the artwork. Hard to imagine a game getting traction on KS nowadays that doesn’t look good and Squire for Hire looks adorable. Anthropomorphized forest creatures, dressed up in their finest adventuring gear each with their own backpack crammed full of gear, and snacks.
